How do I know my wrist size?

The easiest way to find out your wrist size is to use a flexible tape measure, string or a strip of paper. Wrap the tape measure around your wrist, just below your wrist bone, and note the measurement in inches. If you like a snug fit, use the exact measurement or add 0.25 inches.  If you'd like a looser fit add 0.25-0.5 inches to your measurement. In the absence of a flexible tape measure, use a piece of string or strip of paper. Wrap it around your wrist and note the size of the string, then compare that size next to a ruler. Please avoid estimating or counting the beads of another bracelet.

What do I do if I ordered the wrong size bracelet?

If you ordered the wrong size, we will restring your bracelet for you in the correct size, but you are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to us, as well as the cost to ship the item back to you. The item must be sent back USPS First Class Mail, with a tracking number.

How do I care for my jewelry with plated metallic elements?

All gold and silver Hematite beads are PLATED and not filled. This means that a layer of gold or silver is added through a process called electroplating. All plated metals will wear over time. To keep your metallic beads looking shiny and new, refrain from scratching, scraping, and rubbing the beads. Do not use harsh or abrasive chemicals, soaps, scrubs, perfumes, hand sanitizer and/or lotions on or near the beads.  Avoid wearing your plated hematite jewelry while exercising, washing your hands or while showering as perspiration from your skin or any damp/wet environment may cause the beads to discolor. To clean, wipe with a dry microfiber cloth and store in a cool dry place when not in use.  

Do you offer returns?

Store credit only. We are happy to exchange an item if there is something wrong with the order or if there is a product defect. Exchanges will only be honored if requested within 30 days of delivery by emailing liz@lizaxelrod.com with your order number and 'exchange' in the subject line. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping to and from Bella Mae Jewelry.

Made to order custom styles are FINAL SALE and cannot be exchanged once the order is complete. Pre-order purchases are also considered FINAL SALE. 

We reserve the right to refuse exchanges if we deem the product has been misused or the damage is not a defect. Worn, used, or tarnished items due to improper care cannot be exchanged. These items will be sent back to you.

Bella Mae Jewelry will ship out your order in 7-10 business days after receipt of order and payment. All custom jewelry may take an additional 3-5 days to make. If we are unable to meet this deadline, we will contact you.

We offer $4 flat rate shipping on domestic orders and free shipping on domestic orders over $75. Priority Shipping, $8.50, and UPS Ground Shipping, $12, are also available at checkout.  Each order will have a tracking number associated with your order once it has left our studio.
Please note, once an item is shipped, we are no longer responsible for the package. We do not refund packages lost in transit. We are unable to refund or replace stolen packages or any un-retrieved packages that have been confirmed as delivered. We do not have control over the shipping services and cannot guarantee their ability to deliver your package by any date.
